The Google Pixel 8 Pro is the ultimate mobile camera phone. Capture stunning photos, edit them and share them with ease. In our long-term review, we examine the reasons we believe that the Pixel lineup is growing!
Every year, I am looking for the Pixel’s next flagship, as I’ve always been a big fan of this camera. I’ve owned every flagship Pixel, which means I’m familiar with the device. After a couple of months with Pixel 8 Pro, I’ve had a few months with it. Pixel 8 Pro, alongside other phones, I’m able to share my thoughts about a longer-term evaluation of the device.
Design and Build
I’m a huge lover of Google’s latest version of to the Pixel 6 and forward. Its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro had a contemporary and square design, and it’s the Pixel 8 Pro softens that design with more rounded corners as well as an vertical camera panel. The back of the phone is matte and soft, however it’s slippery, which is a problem for people who prefer to leave their phones unattended.
The phone, on the other hand, is shaped like a bar-shaped phone. With the 6.7-inch screen and a 6.7-inch screen, the Pixel 8 Pro is tall and narrow, yet light enough to use. Its corners are rounded unlike that of the Pixel 7 Pro’s square corners. The power standby button is made of metal located on the left of the phone is located right over the volume control.
The USB-C charger is on the bottom. However, there is no headphone connector. Do we need to be mentioning or do we just have to assume that flagship phones do not come with a headphone port? Its back is a matte but it’s still slippery and requires an enclosure to prevent it from falling from the floor. Soft Pixel 8 Pro case I utilize from Google doesn’t add much weight on the handset. It is, of course, high, but its size isn’t too uncomfortable either.
Day-to-Day Experience Using the Pixel 8 Pro
It’s the Pixel 8 Pro is all about the software. If you’ve used Pixel phones in the past you’re probably aware of my daily routine. However, this time the experience is a little different, as Google has placed a huge focus on AI to aid in day-to-day.
Features on the Pixel 8 Pro
My most used day-to-day functions are not just AI but are more similar to my own virtual “assistants’. One of them is my favorite feature, the Call Screen feature. I am constantly complaining about the loss of an entire form of communication due to spam calls. There is no one who takes calls in a blind way anymore and who should blame for that? However, it’s true that the Call Screen feature isn’t only for unwanted calls. It can be helpful when you do not have time to make a phone call and you’ve got an option to have the Call Screen “Assistant” do the work for you. I’m not angry about this at all.
Other features such as “Circle to Search” aren’t only available for the Pixel 8 lineup, but it was among the first to receive it and I’ve utilized it several times. One of the major and not too obvious hardware differences among Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro is the temperature sensor.
Although I haven’t had any usage to it, I utilized it once in the time I was worried about getting sick. I’m glad to see that it’s available to those who want it. It is possible to use to measure temperature by placing your camera’s rear bar just a couple of inches of your face. Vivo Y200 5G Lite: Vivo’s 300MP camera, 7000mAh, and 16GB RAM phone.
Pixel 8 Pro Cameras
My precious! The Pixel camera is my preferred choice for still photos. In reality, it’s the standard choice for everyone when I’m in a crowd I am asked to snap a photograph. What’s wrong with them? Pixel cameras do the job done each time, and they’re equipped with more editing options to make images close to perfect. Pixel 8 Pro Pixel 8 Pro has a horizontal bar on the back that houses three camera models: a 50MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide as well as the 48MP telephoto camera. Both models come with an 10.5 Megapixel selfie camera. However, The 8 Pro has autofocus.

I was ecstatic to see how AI can work in conjunction with Pixel cameras. Features such as “Best Take” can help you create the perfect group photo from several group photos. Video Boost is a feature I was hoping to frequently use but I don’t. It’s just not enough for me. It takes an incredibly long time to finish the task. I’ve used Magic Editor a few times but never to completely recreate a photo. It’s great to have the ability to clean the image.
Portrait mode works great the majority of the time, although there are times when it appears to be an overblown blur. I don’t often employ the manual controls but they are in the Pixel 8 Pro for those who like to play around with these controls. Night shots are always stunning and is a great way to start conversations.
Battery
The battery might be a bit better. If you are doing a lot of work with it and, in all likelihood taking lots of pictures it is likely that you’ll need an extra battery or connect to it throughout the day (depends on the level of battery that is making you uncomfortable). It wasn’t always terrible however there were times when it was just crashing. Stunning Leaked OnePlus 13 Real-Life Images: What Do They Reveal Before the October Launch?
Verdict
With its current pricing At the current price, at the current price, Pixel 8 Pro is harder to recommend over the moderately price Pixel 8. But, of course, enjoy the larger screen, the larger battery, and even the cameras on the rear, I usually opt for Pro in the case of phones which is why this Pixel 8 Pro didn’t fail me. I’ve used it at events, baseball games performances, evenings, and anything else in between. I’m confident that I can count upon the Pixel.
Although it’s not a performance-enhancing device It’s an mobile photographer’s dream and a media consumption nightmare, providing an array of useful options and features that users can master.
